How To Sleigh Your Holiday Looks
I was so excited to receive a new set of makeup brushes and tools this year! Ever since I started applying makeup in middle school, I've always stuck to drug store brands. It wasn't until a couple years ago that I decided to go clean: cruelty-free, vegan, toxin-free and/or natural, which includes the tools I use.
Right now, I'm loving the Techni Set and 12-piece Complete Kit from Mikasa. I was instantly impressed by how much more I enjoyed them over what I was using before. I'm no makeup artist, but the techni brushes make me feel like a total pro. They're super dense, making them perfect for applying smooth foundation and contour.
Double ended brow brushes are my all-time favorite makeup tool and an absolute must for a girl on the go. When using the double ended brow brush from Mikasa, I use the angled brush end to define, shape and fill my brows and the spiral end to blend the products together.
To create this cranberry holiday look, I began with my Purlisse BB Cream, followed by the NYX primer. It's so important to wait 15 minutes between moisturizer and primer to allow it to fully set in. For eyes, I used the Naughty Palette by Kylie Cosmetics and Almay mascara. Since my brows are naturally blonde, I always use at least two products for thickening and color. Right now I'm loving this combo: Benefit "Ka Brow" Cream Gel, Anastasia Beverly Hills pencil and NYX brow mascara. I also apply it in that order. The lipstick is a combination of NYX soft matte lipstick in Copenhagen and some darker liners from Revlon.
