Marsala, Blush and Dusty Blue Wedding
When describing our wedding, we call it either "Mid-Summer Night's Dream", "Earthy Elegance" or "Geode Wedding", but at the core are three colors: blush, marsala and dusty blue, which carried through all of our details, from save-the-date to cutting the cake.
My bridesmaid and Jr. Bridesmaids dresses were from BHLD, with the Flower Girl's from Dillards. I originally wanted to incorporate dusty blue dresses, but my Mom said that would be too chaotic. Instead, we stuck with blush and marsala, and incorporated blue thistle into the floral arrangements.
All of our floral displays and bouquets were organic and local from Growing Wild in Culpepper. They provided the alter arrangements and small white mason jars and twine to hang along the isle.
We made our guestbook on Shutterfly using one of their gold geometric designs, it went perfectly with our terrarium centerpieces and gold accents.
The cocktail hour was held in the Airlie Formal gardens, followed by our dinner reception in their nearby Pavilion. Our florist also made the coolest entryway to my reception. To save money, we re-used the alter arrangements and moved them to the pavilion entryway.
They also added ribbon, moss and flowers to the hanging lantern, which created a focal point. Our wedding and cocktail hour signs were also on display, along with a memorial table and guestbook/gift table.
